Jane has a style like no other. She lives in Australia and writes, designs, and is a fantastic long arm quilter. She designs with modern flare, however she has made some contemporary & traditional looking quilts. I the opportunity of a lifetime last year when I went to Quilt Market and finally met Jane in person. She is lovely and we try very hard with both of our busy schedules to Skype as often as we can. Jane truly is a talent that needs to be shared. A person who has been willing to offer help and still keep up with teaching and quilting for customers.
Here we are with other friends we met through twitter at the convention center in Houston in between the Moda School House Series classes. Again a opportunity of a life time...
I can always seek advice from many people who are willing to guide me in any task I truly want to achieve, but Jane really has helped me from day one. She is one smart cookie. Whether it is a computer program I am working on for a design or just seeking advice on how I should handle something Jane is usually there.
She is a continual contributor with her designs and support for Aurifil Thread and Moda Fabrics
Jane even has her own online shop where you can rulers, tools, notions, books, patterns and thread. Her shop is called Want It Need It Quilt It
This creative genius has been featured ten times on Moda Bake Shop click here to see her gorgeous works of art.
As well as all of the quilting projects Jane has done, she was recently featured in Quilters Companion:
Just gorgeous projects she has.
I even had the pleasure of receiving one of Jane's creations. About two years I was looking on twitter at a few things and noticed Jane posting a picture of one her delightful creations. I was so taken aback of the cuteness of this I had to share my comments. Not too long after that I got a wonderful surprise in the mail all the way from Australia. You tell me isn't this the cutest:
Jane is my featured quilter for July. Stay tuned for my next featured quilter. I hope you all enjoyed this post. I sure did...
